First time parents Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Matthews are soaking up every second of the new born baby experience.

The same can be said for Patrick Mahomes’ mother, Randi Mahomes, who is loving life as a grandmother. The happy couple welcomed their first child, Sterling Skye Mahomes, into the world last Saturday. Sterling weighed six pounds and 11 ounces upon arrival and mother and baby are said to be doing well.

The Mahomes family, including Patrick Mahomes, took some much-earned relaxation time for themselves last night (Monday). Often active on social media, Randi Mahomes took to Instagram to share a selfie of herself and her football superstar son spending some quality time together.

“Family time is always my favorite time,” the proud mother and grandmother says in the post’s caption. She adds a heart emoji and a “blessed” hashtag to the end of her Instagram post.

Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Will Wait to Share Baby Pics

Though Sterling is now over a week old, don’t expect to see photos of her until a later date. Patrick and Brittany say they will wait until the time is right before sharing photos of their daughter with the world.

“Today was Sterlings actual due date, sure glad she came a few days early,” Matthews said last week. “We will share photos of her when we feel the time is right. I know the Internet will instantly take the photos of her and share everywhere so just preparing myself for my newborn baby girl to be shared to the world. Right now we are just soaking in every minute with her.”

Patrick Mahomes is currently enjoying the National Football League offseason as a new father. With a new baby and coming off a Super Bowl loss, he will have plenty of motivation heading into the 2021 season.

The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback led his team to a 14-2 regular-season record and second straight Super Bowl berth this past season.
