Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has taken the NFL by storm since entering the league in 2017. At only 25-years-old, Mahomes already has a Super Bowl trophy and is a yearly Most Valuable Player candidate. In 2020, he is having another MVP quality season and the Chiefs look like a Super Bowl Team once again.

While he is known for his on-field play, Mahomes is also known to have a lighter side off of the field. He can often be seen chatting up his teammates or sharing a laugh with the Chiefs coaching staff. The quarterback shows off his notable sense of humor in a Monday morning social media post.

Mahomes’ teammate, wide receiver Mecole Hardman, took to social media to post a throwback photo of his quarterback. The photo shows a much younger Patrick Mahomes as a high schooler hoisting a championship trophy. He is also making quite the fashion statement with a Skull Cap sitting on top of his head. Now, Mahomes says he is tempted to bring the look back to the NFL.

“I’m going to bring back the skull cap!” the star quarterback says in his tweet.

Patrick Mahomes is Having an MVP Caliber Season

Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Miami Dolphins on Sunday by a final score of 33 to 27. The win gives them a season record of 12-1 and they sit atop the NFC West. With Patrick Mahomes at the helm, the team appears primed for another long playoff run with many predicting another super bowl appearance for the team.

Despite having a not-so-great performance on Sunday, Patrick Mahomes is the engine that makes the Chiefs go. He and Green Bay Packers starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers are neck and neck in this year’s MVP race. On the year, Mahomes is completing 68 percent of his passes and has over 4,000 yards passing through 13 games. He also has 33 touchdown passes to just five interceptions.
