Following today’s reports that Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is disgruntled with his team, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes responded in hilarious fashion.

Evidently, Rodgers is fed up with the Packers. Rumblings of discontent began last year on draft day when Green Bay selected another quarterback in the first round. The longtime Packers QB has won a Super Bowl with the team and led them to the NFC Championship this past season. In addition, he won the league’s MVP award as well.

With the breaking news announced hours before the 2021 NFL Draft, there could be some late shake ups this year. In fact, Mahomes chimed in on Twitter saying just that.

“Well I see draft weekend is going to be pretty interesting… ,” Mahomes amusingly tweeted along with two laughing emojis.

Not long after, he made sure to let Chiefs fans know that he’s happy in Kansas City in a separate post. Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones tweeted “Love it here,” which Mahomes also responded to. He agreed saying, “Me Too.”

Although Packers fans are surely sweating over their MVP quarterback’s future, it sounds like Chiefs fans can rest easy knowing their former MVP isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

Aaron Rodgers Reportedly Tells Packers He Wants Out of Green Bay

Aaron Rodgers has had quite the off-season this year so far. After secretly dating Hollywood actress Shailene Woodley for months, the couple recently got engaged. Additionally, he had a two-week stint as the guest host of Jeopardy!, which he’s been an avid fan of since childhood.

However, the recent news of Rodgers wanting out of Green Bay is a bombshell that has rocked the sports world this afternoon. ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter first reported the breaking story. Supposedly Rodgers already made it known that he “does not want to return to the team.”

The shocking news could completely change tonight’s NFL draft, but it also doesn’t mean the QB will get his way. Schefter’s subsequent story revealed further details on the matter. Unsurprisingly, the Green Bay Packers aren’t looking to trade their superstar quarterback.

“As we’ve stated since the season ended, we are committed to Aaron in 2021 and beyond,” Green Bay’s general manager Brian Gutekunst told ESPN. “Aaron has been a vital part of our success and we look forward to competing for another championship with him leading our team.”

It will be interesting to see how things play out in tonight’s draft and whether or not the Packers will budge when it comes to Rodgers’ request. The top QBs coming out of college have already garnered plenty of interest from NFL teams that are jarring to move up in the draft to select them. Yet the possible availability of Aaron Rodgers will be a hot topic throughout tonight’s event.

No player in NFL history has won league MVP and switched teams in the off-season. Could this be an NFL first?
