Check out these precious moments captured on Patrick Mahomes Instagram account! Posted on Mother’s Day, he shared photos featuring himself, fiancée Brittany Matthews, and, of course, their beautiful baby girl Sterling Skye.
The social media post truly shows the couple’s unconditional love for their new addition. In a few poses, they each take a turn holding the sweet newborn, while another pic contains other family members (and of course their adorable dogs!). All together, Mahomes captions the Instagram post to honor his fiancée. It reads, “Happy 1st Mother’s Day!”
Matthews joins in on the Instagram fun by showing excitement for her first Mother’s Day. The fitness Influencer starts out by mentioning her mother, then addresses daughter Sterling.
“Dear Mom, thank you for always being the best mom and role model I could ask for,” she wrote, sharing a few sweet Mother’s Day snaps of her with her own mom and baby Sterling. “Dear Sterling, thank you for making me a mommy and being the biggest blessing EVER, Mommy & Daddy love you more than you will ever understand.”
Since welcoming their baby girl on February 20, 2021, the new parents continue to show fans how much happiness and joy they’ve found with their now 11-week-old daughter.
Mahomes & Matthews: From High School Sweethearts to Athletic Power Couple
Together since high school, Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Matthews fell in love way before they made it big. They even attended prom together in 2013! After graduating, their relationship only blossomed as the couple supported each other through thick and thin.
On August 1, 2020, Mahomes decided to take the next big step and win Matthews’ heart forever. He proposed right after her 25th birthday with the most fitting romantic gesture.
According to theknot.com, the romantic proposal, which happened one day after Matthews’ 25th birthday, took place in a VIP box at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, just after the team received their Super Bowl 54 rings. The bride-to-be shared a glimpse into the proposal set up on Instagram, which included lavish arrangements of white flowers and light-up marquee letters that said “Will You Marry Me,” writing, “So this happened today!”
Now, they have plans to get married in 2022. Matthews hinted about their upcoming nuptials in another Instagram post from March 2021.
“It’s wedding planning time,” she captioned. “We have a date & place wahoooooo,” adding “#2022.”
I guess we have to wait and see what happens next in this fairytale story.
