Ronda Rousey Shows Off the ‘Chicken ICU’ at Her and Husband Travis Browne’s Incredible Farm

Ronda Rousey has passed on her days as a UFC legend and traded it in for a simpler, less painful lifestyle.

The 34-year-old is no longer breaking legs and spirits but is actually doing the opposite. Ronda Rousey takes to social media to show off her ‘chicken ICU’ at her and her husband, Travis Browne’s fantastic farm

What exactly is a chicken ICU? Well, it is exactly what it sounds like. It is a little cage (the ICU) inside a larger cage (the hospital). So, the birds can get better while still staying in contact with their tiny friends. It’s actually quite cute.

Doing the Dirty Work

“We are going to build a small sanctuary inside the bigger sanctuary,” explains Browne. “But first we have to move the chickens from their little, like bird kennel, birdcage. We are going to move them from the garage down to here, and we are going to build that smaller aviary inside. That way, when we put them in the bigger aviary, they kind of get used to the other birds, and they don’t get beat up. They kind of all get used to each other. And then, after a little bit, we’ll let them all mingle.”

The nearly five-minute video shows interested fans the process of creating a chicken sanctuary. While Travis Browne does most of the work, Ronda Rousey does pop in to help wrangle some of the chirping little chicks.

“I just kind of want to separate the chicks and the ducks because I’m afraid of them getting too over attached and the chicks going in the pond. You know?”

Ronda Rousey drops one little duck into the water. It squeaks with happiness as it swims around the small pool. Then, the video cuts to more ducklings joining the happy bird as they swim and sing with joy. Or at least that is what I’m going to tell myself they are saying.

Ronda Rousey Gives Update on Chicken ICU

Ronda Rousey captions the post with an explanation for the new pet additions.

“Introducing new chicks/ducklings,” cheers Rousey. “After some experience watching new introductions get bullied, we assembled what is now called the Chicken ICU. Our sanctuary inside the aviary for new additions or injured patrons to be kept while still being in contact with the flock or even a place for trouble roosters to be sequestered. It mostly worked, except Fearow infamously got her eye pecked out by Goomba (who was a new and aggro mom at the time) when they finally got released, but it’s really come in handy a lot would def recommend. Video by @nodnbproductions.”

Ronda Rousey’s farm and Instagram are full of a variety of animals, including donkeys, dogs, ducks, chickens, and cows. Furthermore, Ronda Rousey and her hubby are little forward to a new addition to the home, a baby. Rousey is currently 25 weeks pregnant!
