One of the NFL’s brightest young stars, Saquon Barkley headed back to his old collegiate stomping grounds over the weekend.

Saquon Barkley plays running back for the New York Giants, who made him the second pick in 2018. Though injuries have plagued him during his time in the league, he has made a big impact on his team. During his rookie year in the NFL, he rushed for more than 1,300 yards and was named the NFL’s offensive rookie of the year. He also set numerous franchise records for the Giants and was also named a Pro Bowler after his rookie year.

Injuries cost him a great deal of playing time in the 2019 and 2020 NFL seasons. He missed the bulk of last season with an ACL tear but appears to be back to full health as the 2021 NFL season heats up. Saquon Barkley has played in both of the Giants’ first two games of the season appears to be getting his groove back.

Saquon Barkley played his collegiate football for the Penn State Nittany Lions and they love him down in Happy Valley. The running back, who broke numerous records while at Penn State for three years, was back home for Saturday’s game. The Nittany Lions took on and defeated the Auburn Tiger in a big inter-conference matchup. In addition to watching the game, Saquon Barkley also enjoyed some downtime and could even be found playing a round of beer pong with some friends.

“She had Saquon Barkley as her pong partner,” the social media post reveals. The Running Back and his new friends certainly seem to be enjoying themselves.

Saquon Barkley Attends Penn State ‘Whiteout’ Game

It was a special day in Happy Valley as Penn State donned all-white attire. The fan base refers to this custom as a “whiteout” and they reserve for certain games. Saquon Barkley was on hand — dressed in his finest white Penn State gear.

The purpose of the “whiteout” is to intimidate the opponent — in this case, the Auburn Tigers. Wearing all white against the black drop of night makes the “Whiteout” a sight to behold.

It certainly seemed to work on Saturday evening as the Nittany Lions picked up the win 28-20. As the game was being squared away, the crowd began singing “Sweet Caroline” as Penn State moved to 3-0 on the young college football season. Penn State certainly looks like they are going to be a big-time contender for the NCAA playoffs this year. They don’t have a Saquon Barkley on the team, but they’re loaded with talent.

Penn State will take on the Villanova Wildcats next Saturday as they look to remain undefeated on the season.
