Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger Slams Tom Brady’s Infamous Snack: ‘Not Eating That’

Pittsburgh Steelers’ long-time quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is currently preparing for the upcoming 2021 NFL season. But while he’s focused on remaining in shape, there’s just one “snack food” that he just won’t eat.

During an interview with The Washington Post, Ben Roethlisberger took aim at Tom Brady’s infamous snack. “Nothing against Tom [Brady], but I’m not eating avocado ice cream. Yeah, you have a chef and you try and eat healthy. But you’re eating healthy because you want to be and feel good.”

Ben Roethlisberger also discusses how he’s gearing up for the new football season as he gets ready to head to his ‘40s. “I mean, listen, as you get older… for the last 4 or 5 years, I’ve really focused on having a trainer. Part of its football. But part of its life. I’m getting any younger. I’m almost 40 years old. So you’ve got to take care of yourself.”

Ben Roethlisberger has been with the Pittsburgh Steelers since 2004. The Steelers will play their second pre-season with their first game against the Philadelphia Eagles this Thursday (August 12th). The Steelers will also go against the Detroit Lions and Jacksonville Jaguars during the preseason. The team will be going against the Buffalo Bill in their first official game of the 2021 season.

Ben Roethlisberger Proclaims He wants to be a Steeler For Life

While chatting with reporters earlier this summer, Ben Roethlisberger proclaims he wants to be a Pittsburgh Steeler for life. “I’m black and gold through and through. I want to be here. I don’t want to be anywhere else.”

According to CBS, Ben Roethlisberger also states that he is approaching the 2021 season like every other season. Like it’s his last season. “You let it motivate you but you don’t let it drive you or push you crazy,” the long-time NFL player states. “At the end of the day, you’re just trying to win a football game.”

Ben Roethlisberger further comments, “I felt [coming back] it was the right thing to do. I felt relatively healthy. All things considered at the end of the season. I felt like I had more in the tank.”

The well-known quarterback also states that the upcoming 2021 Steelers offense is going to be completely different. “You’re going to see nothing that you’ve seen in the past. It’s new and taking some extra studying, but it’s a fun new challenge.”

“Guys look great, but we are in shorts and t-shirts. What I’ve seen so far has been really impressive [so far],” the NFL legend also declares. Roethlisberger then reveals that it was his idea to take a pay cut this upcoming season. “I went to them and told them, I would do whatever I could to help the team,” he explains.
