Sylvester Stallone Says Conor McGregor Would Be ‘Foolish’ Not to Fight Jake Paul

Rocky has spoken, and he has called for a new competitor. Sylvester Stallone says that Conor McGregor would be “foolish” not to fight Jake Paul.

It may be a bit premature, considering Conor McGregor just completed a high-profile fight last night. Furthermore, Conor McGregor’s health is in question after doctors stopped the fight in the first round due to the Irishman’s leg.

Dana White With the Health Update

Dana White, the President of the UFC, gave his unprofessional opinion on the injury sustained in the last moments of round one between Conor McGregor and American Dustin Poirier.

“It looked like the ankle to me, but I’m no doctor. Once they get in there and do the X-rays on him and look at it, they’ll know exactly what’s wrong,” White told MMA Junkie during the UFC 264 post-fight news conference. “Lower tibia. The shin, I guess. Conor goes into surgery tomorrow. We don’t know long how he’s going to be out. How much his rehab and therapy he’s going to need.”

Reports confirm that McGregor suffers from a broken tibia.

Actor Sylvester Stallone gave his two cents on the fight, saying that McGregor should take on Youtuber-turned-professional-boxer Jake Paul.

“Are you kidding With the kind of money that’s going around, he’d be foolish not to,” stated Stallone. “Think about it.”

Jake Paul had completed three fights since the birth of his boxing career. He first took on fellow YouTuber, AnEsonGib and came out victorious. Next, Jake Paul beat former NBA player Nate Robinson. Finally, Paul won against MMA fighter Ben Askren.

Jake Paul Throws Shade At Conor McGregor

But what about a Conor McGregor and Jake Paul matchup?

Paul allegedly offered McGregor $50 million for the fight in December. However, after last night, the internet star took to social media to bring down his offer slightly…

“My new offer for Conor Mcgregor is $23 dollars.”

Prior to last night’s battle, the Irishman was asked if he was considering an upcoming fight between either Jake or his brother, Logan Paul.

“I don’t see so, but never say never,” McGregor said. “If they’re gonna keep competing and whatnot, who f–king knows? But dingbats, the two of ’em.”

Jake Paul took to Twitter once again to say that McGregor has lost his touch and was on the downhill slide.

“You can tell Conor has lost it.’ He no longer speaks from a place of authenticity & you can tell he’s trying to convince himself of his own lies. He takes offense to everything now. He’s bathing in his own insecurities. When we fight I will further expose him for the fraud he is.”

The Matchup

Conor McGregor is 32 years old and stands at 5’9″, and weighs 154 pounds. However, McGregor has experience on his side, winning both the UFC featherweight and lightweight as the double-champion.

On the other hand, Jake Paul is 6’1″ and 190 pounds. He is only 24 years old, so he has his youth and resilience in his favor.

Who would win the matchup?
