Terry Bradshaw Doubles Down on Saying Tom Brady is Only Greatest QB of Past 25 Years

Terry Bradshaw, a Super Bowl-winning quarterback, knows a thing or two about signal-callers. That’s why he is in the corner of Tom Brady.

During “FOX NFL Sunday,” which was the pregame show leading into the NFC Championship Game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Green Bay Packers, Terry Bradshaw said, “Tom Brady is the best QB in the last 25 years.”

That’s a mighty big statement for Bradshaw, who led the Pittsburgh Steelers to four Super Bowl titles, to make. After Brady threw touchdown passes to lead the Buccaneers to a 21-10 halftime lead over the Packers, Bradshaw remained adamant.

Bradshaw received a lot of pushback from fans on Twitter. One of them commented “greatest, not best. rodgers is the best,” referring to Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers. In response, another person said, “He said best, and he’s right.”

Another fan chirped up and said, “As usual, terry is a bit mad and rather jealous of tb12.” The “TB12” reference is to Brady as that is the name of his sports company.

In response to Mohyeldin’s tweet, one fan said, “Terry won’t count himself out.”

Some fans also point out that he’s pretty insistent on the “past 25 years” statement. Could Bradshaw be quietly saying that Brady would not have been a solid quarterback during Bradshaw’s playing days? We don’t exactly know.

Don’t Put Terry Bradshaw In Baker Mayfield Fan Club

Hearing Bradshaw share his opinions on other NFL quarterbacks is not new news. Earlier this season, he made it pretty clear that he’s no fan of Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield.

That’s even though Mayfield and the Browns reached the NFL playoffs after a long non-playoff drought.

“I don’t like Baker Mayfield,” he told Fox Sports talk-show host Colin Cowherd, who is known for his critiques of Mayfield’s play and personal behavior. “I never did like Baker Mayfield.”

Now Terry Bradshaw also went in on the former Oklahoma quarterback’s attitude, too.

“I don’t like people like that,” he said. “I’m a character guy. I’ve never met the man. He may be the most wonderful human being in the world. But, his body language, and the way he acts, it’s just a turnoff for me. That’s just me.”

Bradshaw Calls On Quarterbacks To Have A Little Humility

Bradshaw admits that having a little humility as an NFL quarterback is not a bad thing. Today, the four-time Super Bowl winner says a lot of players apparently are more interested in their personal brands. That’s a big turnoff to Bradshaw right there.

“That doesn’t mean you don’t go out on the field and just try to destroy (the opposition),” Bradshaw told Cowherd. “I’m fine with that, but be cool. Be nice. Be humble.

“Just do your job,” Bradshaw said. “I don’t get that, but I understand ‘well, I’m trying to make my brand.’ Well, where’s Manziel’s brand right now?”

His reference is to former NFL quarterback Johnny Manziel, who just lasted two seasons in the league and isn’t even playing football anymore.

It appears Terry Bradshaw likes players who have some old-school manners and playing styles in their heads. That makes sense since his Pittsburgh Steelers teammates also played that way, too, under the leadership of Head Coach Chuck Noll.
