Texas A&M’s Red, White, and Blue Game Was a Patriotic Display That’ll Give You Chills

by Jonathan Howard

Labor Day Weekend. College football. What gets better than that? Texas A&M took it to the next level with their Red, White, and Blue game. Fans were hyped and into the concept, and it was a big hit with those at home as well. Now, everyone knows that the 12th man is alive in College Station, but it was a truly special sight.

Teams have tried many different themes. Blackouts, whiteouts, school colors, checkerboard, stripes, and more. It doesn’t always work out. In fact, it rarely works out. However, fans seemed to get behind this concept more than others. It made the whole thing work and nothing looked terribly out of place. There are no promises when you put the power in the hands of the masses. Many take free shirts and hold onto them, instead of putting them on.

Texas A&M fans did not disappoint though. Watch the great moment posted on Twitter.

With military members taking up one section, all around each level had their own color. Red white and blue striped the stadium and the 12th man roared to life. Going up against the Kent State Golden Flashes, the Texas A&M Aggies got fired up pregame. There is a lot of patriotic energy in the video, and the players seemed to be pumped up by the entire atmosphere.

With the Jimbo Fisher era in year four, Aggies fans are looking for a great season. That likely means seeing 10+ wins if they have their way. The pressure is intense in College Station, and they have the resources to succeed in the SEC.

Before Texas A&M, Alabama Rolled Miami

Prior to Texas A&M taking the field, the preseason No.1 team Alabama Crimson Tide took on the No.14 team Miami Hurricanes. With Georgia and Clemson being the headliner, this game was supposed to be a warmup. However, it just looked like a warmup for the Crimson Tide.

With new quarterback Bryce Young slinging the ball for over 300 yards, the Tide took a commanding lead early. In the first half, they kept the Hurricanes to just a field goal in the first half while accumulating 27 points themselves. They took off hot from the start and didn’t look back. Making such quick work of Miami solidifies their spot on top of the polls. This is just the beginning of the season and Bama has a lot more games to play. However, there doesn’t appear to be another team quite as prepared.

By the time the game was all said and done, the Crimson Tide walked away with a 44-13 win. A decisive victory against the Hurricanes. As for Texas A&M, they still have time against the Golden Flashes remaining. However, with a 27-3 lead in the third quarter, it looks like their game to lose.
