For the first time ever, Tiger Woods will appear and compete with his son Charlie in the PNC Golf Championship. At 11 years old, Charlie already competes in junior tournaments in Florida. He has even found a good amount of success on the junior circuit. Over the summer, he won a U.S. Kids Golf Association sanctioned event shooting a 33 on nine holes. His scorecard finished with three birdies and no bogies.

Tiger Woods has coached and mentored his son thus far but claims that it is a “different vibe” than he had with his own dad, Earl Woods. While Tiger’s dad was fairly tough on him on the course, Tiger makes sure to keep it loose on the course with his son while still pushing him to elevate his game.

Like most of the golf tournaments this year, the PNC will not allow patrons on-site, but it will air on NBC, Golf Channel, and Peacock. The tournament will start on the weekend of December 17 of this year at the Ritz Carlton Golf Course in Orlando Florida. The tournament formerly called the Father/Son Challenge features a PGA or LPGA golfer along with a member of their family. Tiger will return for the first time after his Masters loss to Dustin Johnson.

Along with Tiger Woods and his son Charlie, several other big-name PGA golfers will hit the tee box with a family member. Here are some of the most notable names. For example, lightning hot Justin Thomas will pair with his father, Mike. John Daly and his son, Little John Daly, will make another appearance this year. Little John Daly has played this tournament quite a few times, and his playing style constantly aligns with his father’s.

Last year’s winners will return again this year in Bernhard Langer and his son Jason. Matt Kuchar and Jim Furyk, who played with their fathers last year, will compete with their sons this go-round.
