Tom Brady and Bridget Moynahan’s Son Jack: What To Know

by Keeli Parkey

Tom Brady has had a stellar career as a quarterback in the NFL. He’s a Super Bowl champion, spokesman, and celebrity. He is also a father.

Brady’s oldest son, Jack, had the spotlight shining on him on Sunday (Jan. 24) after the quarterback’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers defeated the Green Bay Packers, 31-26, in the NFC Championship Game. The victory sent Brady to the Super Bowl where he will be vying for a seventh crown.

After the victory, Brady went into the stands to hug the 13-year-old Jack. His trek wasn’t without its challenges. As the legendary quarterback approached a barrier that kept players from the fans, Brady asks a security guard if he can go see his son. Unsurprisingly, his request was not denied.

“Can I say hi to my son?” Brady asked. Jack runs down to his father and their share a celebratory hug. “Love you, kiddo,” Brady says to his eldest son. Check out the father-son moment below.

Meet Tom Brady’s Son Jack

Jack is the son of Tom Brady and his former partner, actress Bridget Moynahan. His given name, according to a report from, is John Edward Thomas Moynahan and he was born in August 2007.

Interestingly, Moynahan didn’t announce that she was pregnant with Brady’s child for a few months after the couple had split. Even though Brady and Moynahan were no longer a couple, they decided to co-parent the child and not let their breakup have a negative impact on his life.

As the boy grew, he began to look more and more like his famous father. Despite the physical resemblance, Tom Brady fans shouldn’t expect Jack to be a new version of his father. Fans of Moynahan’s work shouldn’t expect him to become an actor. Moynahan commented on her son’s future in 2017 when she appeared on an episode of “Live with Kelly.”

“I don’t think he wants to be either. I think right now he wants to be a professional soccer player,” Moynahan said. “Though after the Olympics, he’s like, ‘I think I’m gonna win a gold in swimming.’ Then it was Michael Phelps, so I think he just likes awards.”

Even though Jack’s may not have his eye set on a football career, he still wants to be successful at whatever he does, according to his father. “(Jack) wants to try hard, and he never wants to disappoint his dad,” Brady said during an interview with “Men’s Health.”

Whatever his future holds, Jack is still a football fan, according to the report. In fact, he has been known to critique his father’s play on the field. “I’ll talk to my son Jack about the game and what he thought of the game, and [he’ll say], ‘Dad, what were you doing on this play?! Why didn’t you just do this?!’” Brady has said.
