Tom Brady is dishing out some of his cash and buying a boat. And a pretty souped-up one at that.
Brady dropped a cool million on this custom steel blue boat, TMZ reports. It’s more than 40-feet long and is adorned with the name “Viva La Vida.” The Spanish saying translates into “long live life.” A saying that’s well-known in the Brady household.
The name is after his supermodel wife’s conservation efforts. The Brazilian model Giselle Bündchen just launched her program that plans to help plant more than 200,000 trees in the Amazon rainforest.
Back to Brady’s Boat
We think it’s safe to say that Tom Brady is loving life in Florida and plans to take advantage of his surroundings while he’s there playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Since Brady is planning on spending more time outdoors, he’s going to do it in style.
The Florida waters christened Brady’s boat on Thursday (Dec. 3). It was launched at his local marina in St. Petersburg. TMZ says, “Tom was as excited as a kid on Christmas!” We admit that he does look pretty happy in the photos.
The exact price hasn’t come to light, yet. A boat along these lines usually costs around a couple of million dollars, though. It’s a price that Brady can for sure afford. He’s in the middle of a 2-year $50 million deal with the Buccaneers. Furthermore, he’s made more than $200 million through his NFL contracts alone.
Other Big Brady Purchases
Tom Brady just added boat owner to his long list of accomplishments which include private plan passenger as well. That’s right, passenger. His wife purchased a private jet in 2010 to fly back and forth from their home in LA to Boston.
The Gulfstream G550 cost a cool $53.5 million. Brady does borrow his wife’s jet from time to time, like in 2015 when he took a bro trip to the Kentucky Derby.
