Police responded to a break-in at Tom Brady’s mansion in Brookline, just outside Boston, around 5:55 this morning.
Thankfully, the family was not home due to Brady’s move from the New England Patriots to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this past offseason. Since April, Brady and his wife Gisele Bundchen have been leasing the home from Miami Marlins CEO Derek Jeter on the Davis Islands.
Police arrested 34-year-old Zanini Cineus for the break-in. The home’s security system alerted police to the house after alarms were set off at the residents. In addition to the initial alert, the security agency saw Cineus walking around the house on surveillance cameras.
Upon entering the house, the police report found Cineus making himself at home. He was lying on a couch in the basement of the six-time Super Bowl champion and supermodels mansion.
According to reports, Zanini Cineus previously lived in Brockton but now finds himself homeless. Authorities have charged him with breaking and entering in the nighttime with intent to commit a felony and trespassing.
Police also say that Cineus had several active warrants due to several incidents that occurred in 2019. One situation included a time when he tried to steal a Tom Brady jersey from the Patriots’ Hall of Fame exhibit in Foxboro. Police caught Cineus trying to hide it underneath his shirt.
Tom Brady’s Temporary $33.9 Mansion
The beautiful five-acre, 12,100 square-foot mansion has been up for sale for a cool $33.9 million. However, the Boston Globe reported that the “listing was removed as a result of the pandemic freezing activity in the ultra-high-end sector.”
In addition, the Globe says that the house is on the market again, but exclusively for buyers who prequalify. They also were asked to sign a non-disclosure agreement.
The massive home also features five bedrooms, five baths, and a 2,400 square-foot barn. The Boston Business Journal adds by including a guest house with a yoga studio and a 20 car driveway.
