Tom Brady Opens Up About Touching Moment with His Son After NFC Championship

Following the Tampa Bay Buccaneers NFC Championship win, cameras captured quarterback Tom Brady going to the stands to share a moment with his son.

On Sunday afternoon, the Buccaneers faced the Green Bay Packers for a chance to go to the Super Bowl. Brady led the charge for Tampa Bay with 280 passing yards and 3 touchdown passes. He may be on a different team and in a different conference this year, but the 6-time Super Bowl champion is back in the big game once again.

As his team celebrated their win in Green Bay, Brady made sure to connect with his son who sat in the stands. Cameras filmed the quarterback walking to the sideline and heading towards the railing that separates players from fans. Brady can be heard asking security if he can say hey to his 13-year-old son, Jack. That’s not a request anyone is going to deny arguably the greatest QB of all time.

“Can I say hi to my son?” he’s heard asking the guard. His son runs down the steps as Brady jumps up on the railing. The father and son give each other a big hug as Jack congratulates his famous dad. “Love you kiddo,” Brady says to Jack in the heartfelt moment.

Tom Brady Calls It ‘Special’ To Have His Son in the Stands

Tom Brady said that having his eldest son at the Bucs’ NFC Championship win was special. The quarterback knew the weather conditions in Green Bay would be frigid. He warned Jack about the weather, but his son made sure to attend anyway.

Brady shared his thoughts on the moment with sports journalist Peter King, which he relayed in his “Football Morning in America” column.

“Doesn’t get any better for a dad than that,” Brady told King. “He was gonna freeze his butt off here, and so I called him on Friday. I said, ‘Are you sure you wanna go?’ He’s like, ‘Dad, I wanna go.’ For him to be there and to see it just makes it so special for me. I hope it’s as special for him as it is for me.”

Brady’s son is from his previous relationship with actress Bridget Moynahan. According to a December article by People, Jack and his father are very close and he loves football as well.

“Tom and Jack are super tight,” the source told People. “He loves football. Tom’s very active with him. He’s always spotted out with him. Parents have seen him playing football in the schoolyard with Jack and his classmates, pre-COVID.”

Brady is on the hunt for his seventh Super Bowl ring in what will be his tenth appearance in the big game. It’s likely safe to say that young Jack will be in the stands again cheering for the Buccaneers and his dad.
