The NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars, led by Trevor Lawrence, will face the Miami Dolphins this weekend in a matchup of struggling teams.

The irony of this game is that the two are heading to London to play each other instead of simply having a Florida get-together. The game is part of the NFL’s initiative to bring the sport to other parts of the world to boost its global appeal. For Lawrence, he will be leading his team to London to take on the Dolphins as the Jags hope to get their first win of the young 2021 season. Trevor Lawrence is in his rookie season after being the first overall draft pick in the 2021 NFL draft.

Things have are off to a rocky start for the young quarterback as his team has zero victories so far in his tenure. They are 0-5 on the year and on track to receive the first overall pick once again in the 2022 NFL draft. The good news for Trevor Lawrence and the Jags is that they will look across the field and see the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins are also struggling this year, mustering only a 1-4 record on the season.

Trevor Lawrence will be the main attraction for Sunday’s big London game and he is expected to draw a crowd. The quarterback was excellent during his time at Clemson University but has found tough sledding in the professional game. He and his team will look to get back on track with a win against the Dolphins on Sunday. The Jags young quarterback sees the irony in traveling overseas to play a team from the same state.

Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars Are Off to London

“It’s kind of ironic we’re going all the way to London to play a team from Miami,” Trevor Lawrence says. “That’s the one thing I thought about, but we’re excited obviously. I haven’t been to that many places, especially outside of the country, so it’s going to be really cool and to play a game over there is going to be really exciting. I’ve heard about the fan base over there and how whenever teams come to play, they’re always really excited and have a great showing and fill up the stadium. That’s going to be fun to be around that atmosphere, somewhere different. I know we’re excited. Obviously, the main thing is to go and get our first win, go win a game, but we are excited to go out there and play.”

Though it certainly isn’t all of his blame to take, Trevor Lawrence and the Jags are not very good right now. He’s thrown six touchdowns to eight interceptions in his five games as a pro.

The team hopes to turn around their fortune starting this week.
