Adam Schefter, we’re going to give you a hard no on this dance. Only Kirk Cousins can get away with grooving shirtless.

Schefter, the ace NFL reporter for ESPN, tried the dance in Monday’s pregame from the SuperDome. Fans, briefly, were left speechless.

Take a look. Thumbs up or thumbs down? Or, “do you like that? You like that!”

Adam Schefter Got In on a Kirk Cousins Viral Moment

If you’re not sure what we mean by the Kirk Cousins dance, grab a chain from the 1990s-section of your closet and give this video a look. Cousins is the quarterback of the Minnesota Vikings. His fellow teammates love it when he rips off his shirt, puts on the thick, gold chains and starts to dance. After the Vikings beat Washington, Cousins’ old team, the QB was so happy he danced in the aisle of the team plane.

Of course, you need to do the Cousins’ chant. “You like that! You like that!”

But as for Adam Schefter, NFL fans appreciated the effort, but not the performance. Robert Griffin III, an ESPN pre-game host, introduced the reporter as Riff Raff.

“Oh my goodness!” RG3 said. “Who knew Adam Schefter was hiding Chewbacca on his chest. … Holy chest hair!”

Meanwhile, fans watching from home had a field day in their mockery of Schefter (who had to expect this sort of reaction).

Here’s a sampling:

“I’ll take “things I didn’t need to see for $500, Alex” wrote a fan, tagging Adam Schefter and using the hashtag #cmonman.

Barstool Sports Big Cat gave Schefter props. “I’ll say it. Schefty low key looks pretty damn good.” Meanwhile, one fan compared Schefter’s dance moves to those of former President Donald Trump (Turn on the Village People and YMCA for some better ambience).
