The Baltimore Ravens are headed to the divisional round of the NFL playoffs and even got some revenge in closing out the Tennessee Titans.

The Ravens were able to come away with their first playoff game in six years on Sunday afternoon in a 20-13 victory over the Titans. The win marks the first time that star quarterback Lamar Jackson’s young career that he has won in the postseason.

However, it was the bad blood between Baltimore and Tennessee that everyone was talking about at the end of the game.

In the closing minutes of the game on Sunday, Baltimore Ravens cornerback Marcus Peters intercepted a pass from Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill. He and the Ravens defense ran to midfield to celebrate and dance on the Titans’ logo.

The Complex Sports Twitter account posted a video of the interception and ensuing celebration at midfield.

“The Ravens danced on the Titans logo 😭,”the account wrote.

Titans Gather on Baltimore Ravens Logo Earlier This Year

Baltimore and Tennessee have a recent history of having beef with each other that dates back to last season’s AFC Divisional Round game. The game between the two teams, which took place in Baltimore, had the Ravens considered the heavy favorites coming off of a 14-2 regular season and Jackson coming off of an MVP campaign.

However, a tone was set early by Tennessee that they were not afraid of the challenge. The Titans would wind up pulling off a massive 28-12 upset over a Baltimore Ravens team that has Super Bowl aspirations, which only fueled a growing hatred between the two teams.

During the regular-season rematch in Baltimore earlier this year, the midfield logo was once again a point of conflict in one of the NFL’s newer rivalries. Tennessee took the field and went straight for the Ravens’ logo at midfield. That gesture prompted a confrontation between head coaches John Harbaugh and Mike Vrabel, as well as Titans cornerback Malcolm Butler.

Following the exchange, the Ravens and Titans played one of the best games of the 2020 regular season. The Ravens got up by as many as 11 points, but Tennessee was able to claw their way back to force overtime. They eventually went on to a victory thanks to a touchdown run by Derrick Henry to win the game. At the time, the win had knocked Baltimore out of the AFC playoff picture.

Ravens Move On to Divisional Round of NFL Playoffs

The Baltimore Ravens went on to win their final five regular-season games after being on the playoff bubble for a few weeks before eventually earning another chance at revenge against the Titans. This time they went to Nashville.

Baltimore found themselves down early by a score of 10-0. However, they followed it up with one of their best defensive outings of the season to go along with some timely plays from Lamar Jackson. With the win, Jackson was finally able to get the monkey off his back and win a playoff game. And the win has to feel extra sweet coming against a team that has given them so much trouble in recent years.

Next week, however, won’t get any easier for Baltimore. The Ravens will either face the Kansas City Chiefs or the Buffalo Bills in the Divisional Round.
