WATCH: Chicago Bears Have Fun with Sideline Worker ‘Twerking’

The Chicago Bears were sitting on the benches, staying warm on a cold night. A sideline worker, though, moved to his own beat.

Bears defensive end Akiem Hicks looks out toward the field and observes the worker’s dance moves. Hicks starts giving the sideline employee a little heat, so to speak, in a humorous manner last Sunday night.

Take a look at the back-and-forth conversation between Hicks and the worker.

Hicks is a nine-year NFL veteran who has played for the New Orleans Saints and New England Patriots before landing in Chicago in 2016.

This year, Hicks has 30 tackles and 3.5 sacks to his credit.

Hicks and the Bears are getting ready for this Sunday’s Wild Card showdown against the New Orleans Saints.

Three Chicago Bears Listed As Questionable Vs. Saints

In preparing for the Saints’ game this Sunday, the Chicago Bears say inside linebacker Roquan Smith (elbow), receiver Darnell Mooney (ankle), and cornerback Jaylon Johnson (shoulder) are all listed as questionable.

Smith and Mooney missed practice all week, while Johnson was limited in workouts Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Smith injured his elbow late in the first quarter of last Sunday’s 35-16 loss to the Packers. He was selected AP second-team All-Pro after ranking second in the NFL in both solo tackles (96) and tackles-for-loss (18) and seventh in tackles with a career-high and team-leading 139.

If Smith is unable to play, his absence no doubt will be difficult to overcome.

“He’s playing at a dominant level,” coach Matt Nagy said. “He’s not just playing like a good player or a great player; there’s complete domination in the way he’s playing. He’s playing on another level.

“Whoever the next guy up that has to step up and go in there and do their thing (is), it’s our job as coaches to know and see that and work around that and work to that player’s strengths,” Nagy said. “And you can’t say that that player is Roquan, because they’re not, so you’ve got to work to that player’s strengths.

“Then it’s the other 10 players around that have to be able to do the same thing. So we’ll see where he’s at. But if (Smith is unable to play), then guys have got to step up. We’re not the only team going through that right now.”
