A Green Bay Packers fan recently finished his last round of chemotherapy cancer treatments. To celebrate, he rang a ceremonial bell — and then he shotgunned a beer.
The incredible footage was posted to social media on Wednesday. @blomdotcomm tweeted out a video of him walking out of a hospital door with an Aaron Rodgers jersey on and a beer in hand. He then proceeds to ring the bell that marked his last day of chemo. The video shows him chugging a Busch Light like a true champ after signaling that he is now cancer-free.
“Ever shotgun a beer in a hospital?” Twitter user @blomdotcomm captioned the video. “Done with chemo. Done with cancer!”
Green Bay Packers Heading Into Playoffs
The Green Bay Packers are one of the hottest teams in football right now. They are heading into the playoffs having locked up the first-round bye in the NFC and have shown no signs of slowing down. Leading the way as always in Green Bay is quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
Rodgers has put together another record-setting season that is expected to land him this year’s MVP award. Rodgers set the franchise single-season records for TD passes (48), completion percentage (70.72), and games with four-plus TD passes (seven). He led the league in all of those categories in 2020.
Although he probably doesn’t need it, Rodgers just got a little more motivation heading into the NFC playoffs from the Packers fan who has just finished his last round of chemo and chugged a beer to celebrate.
If Rodgers saw that video, we almost have to bet on the Packers to win the Super Bowl this year. Rodgers has been on fire this season and this remarkable video can do nothing but just throw gasoline on the MVP favorite’s fire to bring another Super Bowl trophy home to Green Bay.
The fan later added, “Had to celebrate the milestone in an epic fashion.” The Twitter world cannot seem to get enough.
The clip was so incredible that it caught the attention of former NFL punter Pat McAfee. He took a moment to give his thoughts on the video.
“Feel like the world needs some feel good right now… this feels good. Congrats BOSS.”
We can all cheers to that!
Meanwhile, the Green Bay Packers are currently the top seed in the NFC and will be waiting for their next opponent to emerge from this weekend’s first-round games. They will face the lowest remaining seed from the Washington-Tampa Bay, Seattle-LA Rams, and New Orleans-Chicago games.
No matter what the outcome of the Packers game ends up being, at least one Packers fan is already celebrating a major victory.
