WATCH: Ole Miss WR Braylon Sanders Just Made the Catch of the Day to Open Up Against Alabama

by Evan Reier

When Alabama and Ole Miss square up, it almost always leads to fireworks. The Crimson Tide and the Rebels love an electrifying game.

So it should come as no surprise that Ole Miss opened the theatrics with an absolute circus catch on their opening drive. While quarterback Matt Corral has been grabbing Heisman headlines this season, his receiving core has been just as dangerous.

Need proof? Let Braylon Sanders do the talking below.

Odell Beckham, eat your heart out. This is the kind of catch that can ignite an offense.

No seriously, take a second look and see how hard that ball is thrown and where it’s going. That may end up hitting the field’s barrier wall if Sanders doesn’t make that grab. Big-time players show up in big-time games, and Sanders woke up ready today.

But it is worth mentioning that the Rebels weren’t able to capitalize. They ended up turning the ball over on downs deep in Alabama territory after going for it multiple times successfully in the same drive.

Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin gambling in a game like this is no shock. With playmakers like Corral and Sanders, you almost have to. The aggressive and innovative offensive mind knows this is a statement game. In fact, he opened up the day with a pretty wild pre-game interview. He answered one question, told fans to get their popcorn, threw down the headset and jogged to the sideline.

So very Lane Kiffin. And we can’t get enough.
