WATCH: Patrick Mahomes Served as the Ultimate Hype Man at Kane Brown’s Latest Concert

by Josh Lanier

That’s one hell of a warm-up act. Kane Brown deployed a secret weapon Thursday at his show in Kansas City. He had Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes take the stage to hype up the crowd. And he picked the perfect song to accompany the reigning AFC Champ.

TMZ reported that Patrick Mahomes and his fiancee, Brittany Matthews, went to the concert a day before Mahome’s 26th birthday. During the show, Brown pulled the half-billion-dollar QB onto the stage during his song with Chris Young “Famous Friends.” Mahomes even sang along to the song.

Mahomes played it cool as he made his way to the front of the stage to high-five some fans. But the Kansas City audience couldn’t keep its composure. Fans went insane when Kane Brown invited the quarterback to the stage.

Brittany Matthews uploaded backstage video of the couple before Brown introduces Mahomes. Before Kane Brown can finish Mahomes’ name, the roar of the crowd drowns him out.

Brown, who wore a Mahomes jersey on stage in the past, posted a photo with the NFL All-Star.

“Kansas City was litty tonight!,” Brown wrote on Instagram. “Thank you, @patrickmahomes for coming out, and happy birthday my brother from another mother.”

Mahomes’ fans have a lot to celebrate. He’s the youngest ever quarterback to start and win a Super Bowl. And despite the team’s loss in the title game against Tom Brady’s Buccaneers last season, the Chiefs look poised to make another deep run in the playoffs this year.

If bookmakers are right, maybe the Chiefs can get Kane Brown to play at the team’s Super Bowl after-party.

The NFL Network Says Patrick Mahomes Is The Best Player In the League

Ahead of each NFL season, the NFL Network releases its list of the 100 best players in the league. Players, coaches, managers, and others submit who they believe is the best of the best. This year — no surprise — Patrick Mahomes took the honor.

It’s hard to vote against him. He just turned 26, but he has done more than most quarterbacks accomplish in their careers. He climbed to take the top spot after finishing fourth in voting before last season. But No. 5 on the list, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, helped Mahomes earn that top spot.

Some other notable names in the Top 10 include Green Bay quarterback and Jeopardy! enthusiast Aaron Rodgers at No. 3. NFL GOAT Tom Brady, who won a Super Bowl over Mahomes with Tampa Bay last season, ranked No. 7. And Bills quarterback Josh Allen, the second-highest paid quarterback behind Mahomes, finished tenth on the list.

Mahomes and the Chiefs are 1-0, but the team has a big game Sunday night against Baltimore.
