Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Rob Gronkowski seems a little unsure about how zoom calls work after speaking with reporters on Thursday.

The Buccaneers tight end got a bit of a surprise on Thursday. It was just another day and another press conference as Gronk was speaking virtually with reporters during a zoom call ahead of the NFC Championship Game.

That is until an old friend, Karen Guregian, jumped on to ask him a question. Guregian is a New England Patriots beat reporter for the Boston Herald and covered Gronkowski during his nine-year career with the Patriots.

Gronkowski seemed a little unsure at first of how Guregian made her way into the call. She is introduced before saying, “Hey, Rob!”

He without a doubt shocked by her appearance. He was wide-eyed and responded, “Karen! Where are you, Boston?”

It’s almost as if Gronk didn’t think that it was possible to zoom into a meeting from an outside city.

“This is crazy, you’re zooming in on our press conferences this is nuts!”

Take a look at the exchange between Rob Gronkowski and Karen Guregian below:

Furthermore, Guregian took to social media during the press conference to share some of Gronk’s comments with her followers. Gronk says he’d rank Tampa’s current offense as one of the best he’s been a part of.

“On a Zoom call, Rob Gronkowski said he’d rank the Bucs as one of the best offenses he’s ever played in,” Guregian wrote on Twitter.

That is saying a lot, seeing as how Gronk was a part of record-breaking teams with New England. He is a three-time Super Bowl champion (XLIX, LI, LIII), a five-time Pro Bowler, and a four-time First-Team All-Pro selection.

Rob Gronkowski Takes Jab at Former Coach

During another recent interview, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end seemed to take a shot at his former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick.

Rob Gronkowski joined his former New England teammate Willie McGinest for an interview over the weekend. Gronk’s comments have come off as a condemnation of Belichick. Additionally, they also add fuel to the fire that the relationship of Belichick and New England’s longtime QB Tom Brady was souring.

The three-time Super Bowl champ spoke about the differences between having Belichick as a coach and his current Bucs head coach Bruce Arians. As many fans already know, Belichick runs a tight ship in New England. And during the interview which aired on NFL Network, Gronkowski shared thoughts on the lack of freedom within his former team.

“One of the biggest (differences), I would just say, the freedom of just being yourself with the coaches. You know what I mean, Willie?” Gronkowski explained.

“Oh, I know what you mean, man. You know, come on. I’ve been there and I left, and I’ve been other places,” McGinest responded, seeming to agree.

Meanwhile, Rob Gronkowski and the Bucs are now on their way to the NFC championship game. They will be traveling to Lambeau Field to face the red-hot Aaron Rodgers and Green Bay Packers.
