WATCH: Tom Brady, Phil Mickelson, Bryson DeChambeau and Aaron Rodgers Play ‘Jeopardy!’ Ahead of ‘The Match’

This epic group of professional football athletes and golfers got together for a makeshift game of “Jeopardy!” ahead of The Match 2021. What are Tom Brady, Phil Mickelson, Bryson DeChambeau, and Aaron Rodgers?

The dynamic four athletes competed in the fourth made-for-TV golf exhibition. Rodgers and DeChambeau were paired up and Brady and Mickelson were a duo. Past players have also included Tiger Woods, Peyton Manning, Charles Barkley, and Stephen Curry.

In an epic matchup, Rodgers and DeChambeau came out on top. Before some friendly golf went down, the group went on Bleacher Report to play “Jeopardy!” and poke fun at each other. Sitting amongst the four athletes was a bit of an elephant in the room — the future of Aaron Rodgers’s career with the Green Bay Packers and the NFL in general.

The very first clue of the makeshift “Jeopardy!” game was, “He is an NBA owner, a self-taught guitarist, and has guest-starred in both ‘The Office’ and ‘Game of Thrones.'” Tom Brady chimed in with “He’s unhappy with his boss and has no options. Who is Aaron Rodgers?”

To which Aaron Rodgers chimed in with, “That’s a projection, Tom. I never said I’m unhappy with my boss.” This causes a laugh and smiles from the whole group. Rodgers didn’t disagree with everything else Brady said, meaning he likely is starting to feel like he has no options.

At this point, Rodgers really only has two options. He can either play for the Packers or not play at all. The Packers have been firm in refusing to trade the quarterback to another team like Rodgers is hoping for. He has expressed unhappiness with the program and head coach Matt LaFleur.

Aaron Rodgers, ‘Jeopardy!’ and NFL

One of the other clues of the game was “He taught himself algebra at the age of 6, streams on Twitch under the handle ‘Thebadone23’ and can sign his autograph backward with his left hand.” The answer was Bryson DeChambeau. As it turns out, DeChambeau also claims, “I’m more of a ‘Wheel of Fortune’ guy” after not being able to get another question correct. He apologizes to Rodgers, seeing as everyone knows just how much the quarterback adores the program and was even a guest host earlier this year.

Aaron Rodgers even got a heartfelt compliment from Tom Brady. He said, “Aaron, he was amazing, by the way,” referring to his time hosting the show. Like many other hopefuls, Aaron Rodgers could possibly be named the full-time host of “Jeopardy!” The show’s executives are set to make an announcement by the end of July or August.

Given his uncertainty with the NFL, a future with “Jeopardy!” could look very appealing. He explained that part of his issue with the Packers is that they chose his heir, Jordan Love, during the 2020 draft instead of strengthening other parts of the lineup.

“I love the coaching staff, love my teammates, love the fan base in Green Bay. Incredible 16 years. It’s just kind of about a philosophy and maybe forgetting that it is about the people that make the thing go. It’s about character, it’s about culture, it’s about doing things the right way,” Rodgers said in an interview with Kenny Mayne on ESPN’s SportsCenter.
