Tiger Woods’ longtime girlfriend, Erica Herman, has supported the sports legend since the very first golf tournament she attended back in 2017.

Woods and Herman went public with their relationship at the Presidents Cup in December 2017. At the time, she wore a “player spouse” credential that was typically reserved for wives and serious girlfriends of golfers. Since then, she’s supported him at several major tournaments, including his Masters’ win in 2019.

But what do we truly know about Erica Herman? Let’s dive into it.

How Tiger Woods and His Girlfriend Erica Herman Met

Reports say Erica Herman was born on Feb. 15, 1984, putting her at 38 years old to Woods’ 46. The two initially met when she was still an undergrad at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, per Page Six. At the time, she majored in political science and wanted to be a lawyer. To help pay for school, she worked at a bar called Blue Martini, which Woods frequented.

This all took place in the early 2000s. Herman started at UCF in 2004 and graduated in May 2008, per the school’s assistant director of media relations. The assistant director told The Palm Beach Post that Herman earned her bachelor’s degree in legal studies.

In 2015, Tiger Woods decided to open his own restaurant, called The Woods, near his home in Jupiter, Florida. He hired Herman to serve as general manager, rekindling their friendship. The two didn’t start seriously dating until September 2017, however.

Woods’ and Herman’s Relationship Now

According to PEOPLE, Tiger Woods and his girlfriend Erica now live together at his home in Jupiter, Florida. She gets along exceedingly well with his kids, Charlie (13) and Sam (14). Woods was married to Elin Nordegren from 2004 to 2010 when they got divorced.

“The kids like her,” a source told PEOPLE. This is evident from any photographs of the family together. We see them smiling at major events like Tiger Woods’ receiving the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Or when he was recently inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame.

But Erica Herman has been especially caring for Tiger Woods after his devastating car crash. The golfer nearly lost his right leg in the crash back in February 2021, derailing his golf career and ability to walk. Per Golf Monthly, when Woods’ learned he could keep the leg, he said Herman helped immensely with recovery.

“There was a point in time when — I wouldn’t say it was 50/50, but it was damn near there — [I didn’t know] if I was going to walk out of that hospital with one leg,” Woods shared. “But once [I knew I was keeping it], I wanted to test and see if I still had my hands. So even in the hospital, I would have Erica and [my friend] Rob [McNamara] throw me something. Throw me anything.”

Woods has been healing and recovering at home for the last 14 months. He first made an appearance at a tournament in December 2021, at the PNC Championship. And now, as of April 6, Woods is debating if he’ll participate in the 2022 Masters in Augusta, Georgia.
