As Alec Baldwin continues to charge his way through the controversy surrounding him, the actor reflects on what gives him strength in a heartfelt Instagram post. In the emotionally charged post shared Friday, Baldwin expresses his love for his wife and his family, noting that he cares about “nothing else”. The full caption of the post reads,
“No matter what happens to me. No matter what I suffer. If I win or lose, anything. Anything. No one can take away from me the joy and love you have given me, @hilariabaldwin These are tough times. The world is choked with fumes of hate. But you have given me a reason to live. Our life with our family is all I care about. Nothing else. I owe that to you.”

A Complicated Conversation
The poetic caption is paired with a photo of Baldwin and one of his children. Alec Baldwin and his wife Hilaria have six children together, including a newborn. This post comes over 2 months after a fatal incident took place on the set of Baldwin’s project ‘Rust’. A cinematographer working on the project, Halyna Hutchins, was fatally shot with a gun that Alec Baldwin was holding.
In the wake of the ‘Rust’ incident, there are certainly some challenges facing the Baldwin family. In his recent tell-all, Alec says that explaining the situation to his kids was not the most comfortable instance. “My wife and I told them what happened because they’re gonna go to school,” Alec said on the Thursday night ABC tell-all.
Alec Baldwin’s wife, Hilaria, has also shared her emotions surrounding the situation on social media. In an Instagram story shared just a few days before Alec’s tell-all, Hilaria explains how difficult it is explaining everything to her children.
Hilaria writes, “Sometimes, I just freeze, knowing I’m the adult, who must guide my family, but so lost as to what the right direction is. There is no manual we are provided. Sometimes I catch myself, surprised that I’m in the adult position and I’m like: shouldn’t I know what to do??”
Hilaria goes on to thank her followers for their compassion surrounding the incident.
Alec Baldwin ‘Does Not Feel Guilt’ Over the Shooting
Despite the fact that a final report has yet to be issued from police, Baldwin says he’s confident he is not the one to blame for the shooting. Alec tells ABC in his recent tell-all, “Someone put a live bullet in a gun, a bullet that wasn’t even supposed to be on the property. Someone is responsible for what happened. … I know it’s not me.”
The actor even goes on to say that if he did feel responsible for the accident, he “might have killed himself”. The whole ordeal is certainly affecting Baldwin as he continues to explain his emotional state. “I have dreams about this constantly now. I go through my day, and I make it through the day. Then I collapse at the end of the day. Emotionally, I collapse,” says Baldwin.
